The New Jersey Motion Picture & Television Commission

The New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission, established in 1977, formed in 1978, is staffed by industry professionals and serves as a resource for production companies shooting in the state. New Jersey currently offers a robust tax incentive program for filmmakers, which includes a bonus for utilizing a diverse cast and crew.

The Commission is also dedicated to creating commerce for minority, women and veteran-owned business enterprises (MBE/WBE/VOB) serving New Jersey’s film and television industry. A directory of these businesses can be found on the Commission website: www.film.nj.gov

“New Jersey has everything a production company needs: scenery ranging from tranquil beaches to bucolic farmland, to bustling urban centers; a hardworking and diverse workforce; and robust infrastructure. Companies recognize this, which is why interest in producing films and television programs in New Jersey is at an all-time high,” said New Jersey Secretary of State Tahesha Way.

The New Jersey Motion Picture & Television Commission warmly welcomes you to the state and the City of Paterson.
